The hard reality

Thousands of Moroccan candidates rely on Tasreeb – the systematic memorisation of old telc exams with their answers. As a result, many pass reading, writing and listening. But at speaking, most fail.

The German embassy in Rabat has reacted clearly:

« The visa office in Rabat has recorded in recent months a significant increase in cases where the language level certified by the provider telc gGmbH differs considerably from the applicants' actually verifiable language skills. The visa office in Rabat is therefore currently unable to reliably and legally establish the actual language skills required in the visa procedure on the basis of certificates from the provider telc gGmbH. »

In plain terms: a telc certificate alone is no longer enough – what counts is whether you can really speak German.

In addition, the embassy expressly reserves the right to verify your German skills – insufficient skills can be a ground for rejecting the visa application.

Despite holding a certificate, many receive a spontaneous call from the embassy or a visa rejection due to a lack of speaking competence.

The result: lost months, lost money and dashed hopes of a future in Germany.

You are not alone in this. And there is a better way.

Official note: Täuschungsversuch (deception attempt)

Warning: Tasreeb leads to failure

Those who only memorise shine in reading, writing and listening – but fail at speaking. This discrepancy is noticed: telc exam centres increasingly treat it as a "deception attempt" (Täuschungsversuch) and fail the candidates. That reason then appears officially on the results sheet. With Tasreeb you risk not only the exam, but also your visa – because without a passed exam, there is no visa.

telc B1 Preparation Course

Our solution

At Die Akademie Fès, we prepare you properly.

Our 4-week telc B1 intensive course (Mon–Fri, 2.5 hrs/day) is a structured, professional training plan that strictly follows the requirements of telc, the Goethe-Institut and the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

The course is led by telc-licensed examiners and experienced teachers (B1 to C2).

We train all four skills intensively – with a special focus on speaking, the part that counts most at the embassy and in daily working life.

Our promise

Immersive training (almost only German from A2)

Regular exam simulations under real conditions

Individual feedback from telc-qualified teachers

Focus on job-relevant topics (care, vocational training, trades)

The 4-week training plan

1
Week 1

A strong foundation: reading, language elements and listening.

2
Week 2

Speaking in focus: intensive speaking training (parts 1–3) with key phrases and role plays.

3
Week 3

Grammar & work: in-depth grammar (passive, Konjunktiv II, infinitive with "zu") + job-related topics.

4
Week 4

Full exam simulations (written + oral) + individual weakness correction.

At the end of the course you are not only exam-ready – you can really speak and understand German.

Why we are different from other academies

Many academies have offered exam preparation for years – but usually on a different principle than we do.

How it often works elsewhere
  • Preparation is added only AFTER the B1 course – and charged extra.
  • Many do just one month of B1 and jump straight into memorisation (Tasreeb).
  • Training is for the test – not for real speaking.
  • In the end, exactly the speaking competence the embassy and employers require is missing.
How we do it
  • Real exam preparation is part of the training from the start – no expensive extra module.
  • From A2 we speak almost only German – competence over memorisation.
  • We train all four skills, with a clear focus on speaking.
  • You do not just pass the exam – you can really speak German.

Participation requirements – fair for you and for us

So that we can seriously secure your success, clear rules apply:

  • At least completed A2 level (self-assessment is enough – no proof required). The course is an intensive preparation, not a beginner course.
  • Regular attendance: at least 90% presence.
  • Active participation: all exam simulations and exercises are completed.
  • No Tasreeb: we train real competence, not memorisation.
  • Sitting the official telc B1 exam shortly after the course ends.
The risk? We take it.

Our guarantee

Speaking-competence guarantee: if you meet all participation requirements and still fail the oral part, you receive 4 additional one-to-one lessons + another mock exam – free of charge.

Frequently asked questions

Many academies add exam preparation only AFTER the B1 course and charge extra for it – which is why many do just one month of B1 and then jump straight into memorisation (Tasreeb). With us, real preparation is part of the training from day one, with a clear focus on speaking, which is decisive at the embassy.

Significantly higher than in pure memorisation courses, because we train in a targeted and intensive way.

You should have completed at least level A2 (self-assessment is enough – no proof required). The course is an intensive B1 preparation, not a beginner course.

We discuss the investment transparently in a personal consultation – on site or via WhatsApp. Together we find the option that suits you.

In case of justified absence (e.g. illness), we offer catch-up options.
